Kota Sidoarjo – Gempol is an important access for road users in East Java. A volcanic mud eruption, Lumpur Sidoarjo (Lusi) in 2006 impacted economic and social factors, especially the infrastructure around Lusi. Differential settlement occurs from the research site at the lowest elevation road surface (KM 31+350) near the P10.D levee. This problem affects the level of road safety. it is necessary to analyze settlement to determine the causes of land subsidence in that location. Identification of soft soil condition based on SPT data of BH-2 (west side) and BH03 (east side). Finite Element Method (FEM) numerical analysis is carried out by modeling from the levee to the main road. FEM results showed that vertical deformation (Uy) on the main road is -9,904 cm. FEM results showed that vertical deformation on the levee at 122 days consolidation is 18,27 cm. 19,30 cm vertical deformation from April 2020 – August 2020 (122 days) based on elevation measurements P10D levee’s elevation. Based on laboratory test data, BH-2 location depth >-4,45 m are soft clay conditions expect at a depth of 10,45 m which are silty sand soils. BH-3 location depth > -6,45 m are soft clay conditions. FEM results show that the embankment of the levee affects road deformation. Based on a comparison of FEM analysis with embankment deformation data, it can be used as a reference for land subsidence analysis on the road.</p>2025-07-27T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Journal of Infrastructure & Facility Asset Managementhttps://journal.its.ac.id/index.php/jifam/article/view/7677Alternative Design of Drive Pile and Floating Foundation of Bridge Structure over Soft Soil (Case Study : Muara Tahai Bridge Sta. 0+100 Kabupaten Pulang Pisau, Center Kalimantan)2025-07-26T08:44:19+07:00Asrul Mariadinoormochtar@gmail.comNoor Endah Mochtarnoormochtar@gmail.comRiwanto Marbunnoormochtar@gmail.com<p>One of the PSN progarm is the improvement of Muara Tahai Bridge that located in Kabupaten Pulang Pisau. The existing design of the substructures uses steel piles with a diameter of 50 cm and a depth of 28 meters due to soft soil condition. After a few trial, the effective design using piles can be done with the depth 20 meter with Pmax control of 34.65 tons < P allowed for group piles of 41.81 tons. An alternative design as a substructure is using floating foundation, which is concrete foundation using floaton material in it. Sidoarjo City – Gempol from Km 30+000 to Km 33+000 is located at west side of the Sidoarjo Mud (LuSi) embankment which still have an active eruption for more than 15 years from 2006 to the present. Based on the observations which conducted by PPLS, it found that the LuSi embankment had lowered around 6 cm/year. This phenomenon can cause damage to the infrastructure nearby. National road segment Bts. Sidoarjo City – Gempol, one of important infrastructure is experiencing severe damage and disturbed due to land subsidence. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct research on these national roads to understand the problem throughly. This research was carried out using both geophysical methods and geotechnical investigations. In advance, resistivity geoelectrical using Wanner-Schlumberger configuration and GPR were used as non destrcutive test. Meanwhile, SPT boring were applied to determine subsurface conditions. According to field and laboratory works, below 6 m of sample depth is classified as soft to very soft soils with high plasticity. There were also suspected 2 fractures in the geoelectric path beside the LuSi embankment. The results are expected to help the preservation planning for handling soil improvement on National Road segment Bts. Sidoarjo City – Gempol to prevent land subsidence.</p>2025-07-27T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2025 Journal of Infrastructure & Facility Asset Managementhttps://journal.its.ac.id/index.php/jifam/article/view/7678Alternative Studies Abutment Structure and Bridge Oprit on Soft Soil at Belanti Food Estate Area, Pulang Pisau Regency, Central Kalimantan (Case Study : Muara Tahai Bridge Sta. 0+100)2025-07-26T09:12:52+07:00Asrul Mariadiasrul.mariadi@adhi.co.idNoor Endah Mochtarasrul.mariadi@adhi.co.idRiwanto Marbunnoormochtar@gmail.com<p>One of the PSN progarm is the improvement of Muara Tahai Bridge that located in Pulang Pisau Regency.
