The International Journal of Innovation and Techno Policy (IJITP) is a peer-reviewed international academic journal dedicated to publishing high-quality scholarly works in the fields of innovation, technology, business, governance, and public policy. This journal serves as a platform for researchers, academics, practitioners, and policymakers to exchange ideas, research findings, and policy perspectives related to innovation-driven development and techno-policy studies. All submitted manuscripts will be reviewed by editors and independent reviewers through a double-blind peer review process.

The International Journal of Innovation and Techno Policy (IJITP) and its Editorial Board take their duties of guardianship over all stages of the publishing process seriously, and we recognize our ethical and professional responsibilities in maintaining the integrity, transparency, and quality of academic publishing.

We are committed to ensuring that advertising, sponsorship, commercial revenue, or other financial interests have no impact or influence on editorial decisions. In addition, the Editorial Board of International Journal of Innovation and Techno Policy (IJITP) will support ethical communication and collaboration with authors, reviewers, institutions, and other journals or publishers whenever necessary to maintain publication quality and academic integrity.

Duties of Author

Reporting Standards Authors submitting manuscripts to the International Journal of Innovation and Techno Policy (IJITP) are expected to present accurate, original, and objective research findings. Manuscripts should contain sufficient detail, appropriate methodology, and relevant references to allow other researchers to understand and evaluate the study properly. Fraudulent statements, fabricated data, or intentionally inaccurate information are considered unethical and unacceptable.

Data Access and Retention Authors may be requested to provide raw data, supporting documents, or research materials related to the submitted manuscript for editorial review purposes. Authors should retain research data for a reasonable period after publication and be prepared to provide access when appropriate and ethically permissible.

Originality and Plagiarism Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts are entirely original works. Any use of ideas, data, figures, or words from other sources must be properly cited and acknowledged. Plagiarism in any form, including copying, paraphrasing without attribution, duplicate publication, or claiming the work of others as one’s own, constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is strictly prohibited.

Multiple or Concurrent Publication Authors should not submit the same manuscript simultaneously to more than one journal or publish substantially similar research in multiple publications without proper justification and editorial approval. Submitting previously published work without disclosure is considered an unethical publication practice.

Acknowledgement of Sources Authors are required to properly acknowledge all sources and references that contributed to the research and manuscript preparation. Publications, theories, data, or ideas that influenced the study should be appropriately cited using the journal’s referencing style.

Authorship of the Manuscript Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant academic contributions to the conception, design, execution, analysis, or interpretation of the study. All co-authors must approve the final version of the manuscript prior to submission. Individuals who contributed to the research but do not meet authorship criteria should be acknowledged appropriately.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest Authors must disclose any financial support, institutional affiliation, or potential conflicts of interest that could influence the interpretation or outcome of the research. Sources of funding and the use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools for language editing or editorial assistance should also be clearly disclosed.

Fundamental Errors in Published Works If authors discover significant errors or inaccuracies in their published work, they are obligated to promptly notify the Editorial Board or publisher and cooperate in correcting, revising, or retracting the article when necessary to maintain academic integrity and publication quality.

Duties of Editorial Board

Publication Decisions The Editorial Board of the International Journal of Innovation and Techno Policy (IJITP) is responsible for deciding which submitted manuscripts should be published in the journal. Editorial decisions are based on the manuscript’s originality, academic contribution, methodological quality, relevance to the journal scope, and significance for researchers, practitioners, and policymakers. The Editorial Board may consult reviewers or other editors in making publication decisions and must comply with legal and ethical standards related to copyright infringement, plagiarism, and publication ethics.

Fair Play Editors should evaluate manuscripts solely on their intellectual and academic merit without discrimination based on race, gender, nationality, religious belief, institutional affiliation, citizenship, or political perspective of the authors.

Confidentiality Editors and editorial staff must maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts and related communications. Information regarding a submitted manuscript may only be disclosed to the corresponding author, reviewers, editorial advisers, and the publisher as appropriate throughout the editorial and peer review process.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest Editors must not use unpublished materials, data, or ideas disclosed in submitted manuscripts for their own research without the author’s explicit written consent. Editors should avoid handling manuscripts in which conflicts of interest may arise due to personal, professional, institutional, or financial relationships with authors or affiliated institutions. Any potential conflicts of interest should be disclosed appropriately, and editors may assign another editor or member of the Editorial Board to manage the review process when necessary.

Involvement and Cooperation in Investigations The Editorial Board is responsible for responding appropriately to ethical concerns, allegations of misconduct, plagiarism, duplicate publication, or other unethical publishing practices involving submitted or published manuscripts. Investigations may involve communication with authors, reviewers, institutions, or publishers when necessary. If ethical violations are confirmed, the journal may publish corrections, retractions, expressions of concern, or other editorial notices to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.

Duties of Reviewer

Contribution to Editorial Decisions Peer review plays an important role in supporting editorial decisions and improving the quality of scholarly publications. Reviewers assist the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Innovation and Techno Policy (IJITP) by providing objective, constructive, and academic evaluations of submitted manuscripts. Reviewer comments may also help authors improve the clarity, quality, and academic contribution of their work.

Promptness Reviewers who feel unqualified to evaluate a manuscript or believe they cannot complete the review process within the requested timeframe should promptly notify the editor and decline the review invitation to ensure an efficient editorial process.

Confidentiality All manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. Reviewers must not share, discuss, distribute, or use unpublished materials from submitted manuscripts except as authorized by the editor.

Standards of Objectivity Reviews should be conducted objectively, professionally, and respectfully. Reviewers are expected to provide clear evaluations supported by academic arguments and constructive recommendations. Personal criticism of the authors is inappropriate.

Acknowledgement of Sources Reviewers should identify relevant published works that have not been cited properly by the authors. Reviewers are also expected to inform the editor of any substantial similarity, overlap, plagiarism, or duplication between the submitted manuscript and other published works known to them.

Disclosure and Conflict of Interest Reviewers must not use unpublished information, ideas, or data obtained through the peer review process for personal advantage or research purposes without written permission from the authors. Reviewers should decline review assignments if conflicts of interest exist due to competitive, collaborative, institutional, or personal relationships with the authors or related organizations.
