LPD Ship Construction Planning Strategy At A Large-Scale Shipyard In East Java
Main Article Content
Abstract
The construction of the Landing Platform Dock (LPD) 163 M ship in the Warship Division of PT. XXX Indonesia is a project with a high level of complexity that requires effective project schedule control to minimize work delays. This study aims to analyze the construction scheduling of module I and module II using the Critical Path Method (CPM). The research method used is descriptive quantitative through the preparation of network planning and S-Curve analysis. The results of the study show that there are four scheduling alternatives, namely Schedule A (existing) for 59 days in block 122, Schedule B 54 days, Schedule C 57 days, and Schedule D 54 days. Scheduling B and D are the most optimal alternatives because painting, grand assembly, and quality control activities are on a non-critical path so they have slack and can accelerate the project duration. The results of the S-Curve analysis show that the plan progress in September 2025 increased from 65.8% to 99.4% in December 2026, the actual progress achievement (A) in March 2026 was only 31.1% while the plan was 84.6%, the assumed progress of the CPM results (B; D) reached 37.3% so there is a difference in progress achievement of 6.2%.
