Abstract
Modification of schematic mechanism in heat assisted magnetic recording (HAMR) i.e. magnetization assisted pulse heating for lowering switching field have been done. Material owing high perpendicularly anisotropy magnetic material i.e. CoPtCr was considered as storage cell memory of hard disk drive (HDD) system. Micromagnetic simulation by solving Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert equation was used to calculate switching field for variation of modified HAMR schemes. Three scheme of HAMR modification was proposed based on the pattern of writing data at high temperature (ie approaching the Curie temperature). Simulation results were shown that the data writing on a constant field required low switching field. Moreover, the switching field fluctuations due to thermal effects were relatively minor compared to the other two schemes.
