Publication Ethics
To ensure the manuscript's quality and prevent any violations related to publishing or plagiarism, the editorial board has set ethical guidelines for the Jurnal Teknobisnis's scientific publications. These guidelines outline the expected ethical conduct for everyone involved in the publication process, including editors, reviewers, and authors.
Duties of Author
Reporting standards: Authors must present an accurate and objective account of their original research, including a clear discussion of its significance. The underlying data should be accurately represented, and the paper should contain enough detail and references for others to replicate the work.
Data access and retention: Authors may be requested to provide raw data for editorial review and, if feasible, should make this data publicly accessible. They should also retain the data for a reasonable period after publication.
Originality and plagiarism: Authors must ensure their work is entirely original. If they use the work or words of others, it must be appropriately cited or quoted.
Multiple and concurrent publications: Authors should not publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one journal. Submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals concurrently is unethical and unacceptable.
Acknowledgement of sources: Proper acknowledgement of others' work must always be given. Authors should cite publications that have influenced the nature of the reported work.
Authorship of the paper: Authorship should be limited to those who have significantly contributed to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the study. All significant contributors should be listed as co-authors, while others who have participated in specific aspects of the research should be acknowledged or listed as contributors.
Disclosure and conflict of interest: Authors must disclose any financial or other significant conflicts of interest that might influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. All sources of financial support for the project should be disclosed.
Fundamental errors in published works: If an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in their published work, they must promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate to retract or correct the paper.
Duties of Editor
Decision on the publication of articles: Editors are responsible for deciding which submitted articles will be published in the journal. Their decisions are guided by the journal's editorial board policies and must adhere to legal requirements regarding copyright and plagiarism. Editors may consult with editorial board members or reviewers when making their final decision.
Fair play: Manuscripts must be evaluated solely based on their intellectual merit, without consideration of the author's race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, or citizenship.
Confidentiality: Editors, editorial board members, and editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher.
Disclosure and conflict of interest: Unpublished materials from a submitted manuscript must not be used in anyone's own research without the author's explicit written consent.
Duties of Reviewer
Contribution to editorial decision: Peer review aids editors and the editorial board in making publication decisions and can help authors improve their papers through editorial feedback.
Promptness: If a selected reviewer feels unqualified to review the assigned manuscript or cannot provide a timely review, they should notify the editor and withdraw from the review process.
Confidentiality: Manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential and not shared or discussed with others except as authorized by the editor. Privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must remain confidential and not be used for personal gain.
Standard of objectivity: Reviews should be conducted objectively, without personal criticism of the author. Reviewers should clearly express their views with supporting arguments.
Acknowledgement of sources: Reviewers should identify relevant published work not cited by the authors. Any statement previously reported elsewhere should be accompanied by the relevant citation. Reviewers should also alert the editors to any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under consideration and any other published paper they are aware of.
Disclosure and conflict of interest: Reviewers should not review manuscripts if they have conflicts of interest due to competitive, collaborative, or other relationships with any of the authors, companies, or institutions associated with the papers.
Screening for Plagiarism
To prevent plagiarism in the articles published in this journal, authors are expected to ensure that their submissions do not:
- Have been or will be published elsewhere.
- Have been or will be filed for a patent.
- Utilize illegal software in the research.
Additionally, authors should use anti-plagiarism software, such as iThenticate or Plagiarism Checker, to verify their articles before submission. If this is not done, the journal will perform a plagiarism check using its own software.
Article Processing Charge
The journal does not require any Article Processing Charges (APC), including submission, processing, extra page, or color charges, for manuscripts submitted, processed, and published in Jurnal Teknobisnis.
However, authors are fully responsible for any costs incurred from preparing or proofreading their manuscripts on their own initiative.
