Journal History
The International Journal of Naval Architecture and Marine Technology (IJNAMET) was formally established in 2025 within the Department of Naval Architecture, Faculty of Marine Technology (MARTECH), Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology. Its creation stemmed from a growing academic need to provide a dedicated platform for researchers, practitioners, and students engaged in the fields of naval architecture, marine engineering, ship design, ocean engineering, and maritime technology.
Recognizing the rapid development of maritime industries and the increasing global demand for high‑quality scientific publications, the Department initiated IJNAMET as a scholarly medium to encourage the dissemination of innovative research and to support academic excellence at both national and international levels.
