0 Journal Objectives
International Journal of Naval Architecture and Marine Technology (IJNAMET) publishes original, peer-reviewed articles in the field of naval architecture and marine technology with a focus on sustainable engineering practices. The journal serves researchers and practitioners by disseminating innovative solutions and contemporary developments in maritime and global contexts. Articles are considered for publication provided that they have not been previously published or are under consideration by other publishers.
1 Manuscript
The Editorial Board will decide whether a manuscript will be reviewed by reviewers with the criteria of originality, significance, quality, and accuracy. The Editorial Board is authorized to accept, reject, or suggest the authors improve manuscripts.
Since Vol. X (2XXX), the journal adopted a one-column layout to improve readability, especially for digital readers. Authors are advised to minimize the use of word processor's styles and layout editing, focusing instead on content and clarity.
For reviewing, authors should submit the manuscript using the provided templates: MS Word template (2021 version) or the LaTeX class PPI-V3-2021. The complete LaTeX package is also available.
All accepted manuscripts will go through copy-editing and layout-editing. The camera-ready version will be prepared by the editorial team using a TeX processor and sent to authors before publication.
2 Revision
The manuscript suggested to be revised will be returned to the author along with the reviewers' suggestions. The author may provide rebuttal comments or justifications as needed.
3 Language
All manuscripts should be written in English.
4 Author's Data
Authors must provide full names (no abbreviations) and complete affiliations including unit, institution, city, and country. For the corresponding author, please include phone number, fax number, and postal address.
5 Abstract
The abstract should provide a concise description (not more than 200 words) of the research background, proposed method or solution, and obtained results. Below the abstract, include up to six keywords written in title-case and ordered alphabetically.
6 Formation
For MS Word submissions, the manuscript must be typed single-spaced, 11pt font, on A4 paper (210 x 297 mm) with 2.5 cm left margin and 1.69 cm for top, right, and bottom margins. Paragraphs should not be indented. Greek symbols must be written properly (e.g., beta, gamma), and chemical notations should follow standard rules, e.g., BaTiO3, Mg(OH)2.
7 The Structure
For original research papers: the manuscript should follow the structure: 1. Introduction, 2. Previous Researches or Related Works, 3. Material and Method, 4. Result and Discussion, 5. Conclusion, Acknowledgment, CRediT, and References. Discussion may be a separate section. Acknowledgment is optional.
For review papers: the order should be: 1. Introduction, 2. Related/Previous Work, 3. Research Method, 4. Findings, 5. Discussion, 6. Conclusion, Acknowledgment, and References. The Research Method must explain objectives, research questions, search strategy, selection criteria, data collection, and quality assessment.
Introduction: Provide background, research problem, its importance, and research gap. Clearly state the study's novelty.
Previous Researches: Describe state-of-the-art solutions and highlight novelty and contributions.
Method/Material: Explain the proposed methods or solutions in detail, emphasizing originality.
Result and Discussion: Present empirical data (tables/figures) and discuss findings clearly. You may separate results and discussion if necessary.
Conclusion: Summarize main results and suggest future research directions.
The manuscript should be between 8 and 20 pages, consecutively numbered. Figures and tables must be numbered in Arabic numerals and placed on separate sheets at the end (for MS Word review version). Use black line art; color figures should be high quality and glossy.
8 Author Contributions
All published articles should include author contribution statements to ensure transparency. The section should be labeled “CRediT”.
Example 1: All authors contributed to the study conception and material preparation. Study design, data collection, and analysis were performed by [full name], [full name], and [full name]. The first draft was written by [full name], and all authors approved the final manuscript.
Example 2: Conceptualization: [full name]; Methodology: [full name]; Formal analysis: [full name]; Writing - original draft: [full name]; Writing - review and editing: [full name]; Funding acquisition: [full name]; Resources: [full name]; Supervision: [full name].
9 References
For review, authors may use any referencing style but should use reference manager tools such as Mendeley, EndNote, or Zotero for consistency.
For the camera-ready version, authors must provide a valid BibTeX file following CTAN manuals. Ensure all bibliography sources are complete and accurate.
