Jurnal Penataan Ruang is a journal managed by the Department of Urban and Regional Planning and published by the Directorate of Research and Community Service (DRPM) of Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Surabaya, Indonesia. The primary objective of JPR is to serve as a platform for disseminating research findings in the field of Urban and Regional Planning, both in Indonesia and internationally.
Jurnal Penataan Ruang is published twice a year, in May and November. The journal was first published in 2006 (Vol. 1 No. 1). From 2006 to 2019, the registration and review processes were conducted offline. The migration to an online system began in 2017, and by 2020 (Vol. 15 No. 1), the entire process including registration, review, and publication was fully conducted online.
Jurnal Penataan Ruang is registered electronically with E-ISSN: 2716-179X and in print with P-ISSN: 1907-4972.

Jurnal Penataan Ruang is managed by the Department of Urban and Regional Planning and published by Directorate of Research and Community Service (Direktorat Riset dan Pengabdian Masyarakat) at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Surabaya, Indonesia. The journal provides a platform for disseminating research findings in urban and regional planning, both in Indonesia and internationally.
Jurnal Penataan Ruang is published twice a year, in May and November. Its inaugural issue was published in 2006 (Vol. 1, No. 1). From 2006 to 2019, manuscript submission and peer review were conducted offline, while published articles were accessible online through the journal’s website. Migration to an online system began in 2017 using Open Journal Systems (OJS) 2 at https://iptek.its.ac.id/index.php/jpr/index. The journal adopted a fully online workflow encompassing manuscript submission, peer review, and publication in 2020 (Vol. 15, No. 1). Migration to OJS 3 subsequently began in 2025 (Vol. 20, No. 1).
