GEOID: Journal of Geodesy and Geomatics is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published biannually in March and September by the Department of Geomatics Engineering, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Surabaya, Indonesia. The journal is freely accessible to scientists, researchers, students, and scholars worldwide. GEOID aims to provide a reputable platform for academics and practitioners to share, exchange, and discuss research findings and emerging developments across all areas of geodesy and geomatics. The journal receives manuscript submissions from universities and research institutions throughout Indonesia and abroad, as well as from government agencies and private organizations. All manuscripts must be written in English and are subject to a rigorous double-blind peer-review process.

Journal History

GEOID: Journal of Geodesy and Geomatics is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by the Department of Geomatics Engineering, Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Surabaya, Indonesia. First published in 2006 (Vol. 1, No. 1), the journal releases two issues per year, covering research in geodesy, geomatics, remote sensing, geographic information systems, and related earth sciences. Originally distributed in print format under P-ISSN 1858-2281, the journal transitioned to online publishing in 2015 through the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform, registering its electronic ISSN (E-ISSN: 2442-3998) and joining international databases including DOAJ and Crossref. In 2017, GEOID received its first national accreditation at the Sinta 4 level from the Indonesian Ministry of Research and Technology. Through continued improvements in editorial quality and citation impact, the journal was upgraded to Sinta 3 in 2020 — the accreditation level it holds today. Starting from 2025, the publication schedule was updated to March and September. GEOID remains an active and growing publication indexed in Google Scholar, DOAJ, Crossref, Garuda, and Sinta, welcoming submissions from researchers across Indonesia and beyond.
