Focus and Scope

The Journal of Civil Engineering Applications (JATS) publishes scientific articles focusing on the application of theories, methods, and technologies in the field of Civil Engineering. The scope of this journal includes, but is not limited to, the following topics:

Structural Engineering and Materials
Analysis, design, evaluation, and application of building and infrastructure structural systems, including concrete, steel, composite, and earthquake-resistant structures, as well as the development and characterization of construction materials.
Construction Management
Planning and control of construction projects, cost management, quality, time, risk, occupational health and safety (K3), and the application of digital technologies in project management, including Building Information Modeling (BIM), simulation, and data-based decision making.
Geotechnical Engineering
Application of soil engineering and foundations, slope stability, soil improvement, soil–structure interaction, and soil behavior modeling.
Transportation Engineering
Planning, analysis, and management of transportation systems, traffic engineering, road pavement, and sustainable transportation.
Water Resources and Hydraulic Engineering
Analysis and application of hydrology, hydraulics, hydraulic structures, drainage, flood control, water resources management, and hydrological system modeling.

Numerical modeling, software-based simulation, and applied digital technology are accommodated within each of the five areas above, so no separate scope item is required.
