About

Jurnal Penginderaan Jauh Indonesia abbreviated JPJI (e-ISSN: 2657-0378) was first published on February 1, 2019. JPJI is a communication and dissemination medium for research results, studies, and thoughts related to the theory, science, and technology of remote sensing and its applications. The journal's focus includes remote sensing for objects on the Earth's surface, whether on land, sea, or atmosphere. JPJI is published by Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) in collaboration with Masyarakat Ahli Penginderaan Jauh Indonesia (MAPIN/ISRS).

Journal History

  • First published on February 1, 2019, as a dissemination medium for the Indonesian Society for Remote Sensing (MAPIN).
  • 2022-2024 experienced operational constraints due to Covid-19.
  • During 2024, publishing collaboration exploration with Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), along with website migration to the ITS server.
  • Regular publication resumed since February 2024.

Jurnal Penginderaan Jauh Indonesia (JPJI) is committed to continuously developing into a primary reference and leading source of knowledge in the field of remote sensing technology and its applications. To support the advancement and dissemination of high-quality scientific knowledge, we welcome collaboration and sponsorship from various parties, including government agencies, the geospatial industry, technology companies, and non-governmental organizations.

We affirm that all forms of sponsorship cooperation are non-binding and do not in any way affect the journal's editorial independence.

JPJI upholds the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. Therefore, financial support or other forms of support from sponsors shall have no influence or intervention whatsoever on:

  • The manuscript acceptance, evaluation, and rejection process (peer-review process).

  • The policies and final decisions of the editorial board.

  • The direction of scientific policy and scope of the journal.

Support provided by sponsor partners will be dedicated entirely to the journal's operational needs and strategic development, which includes:

  • Improvement of digital infrastructure and maintenance of the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform.

  • Expansion of publication reach to ensure scientific articles remain widely accessible to researchers, practitioners, and policy makers through the Open Access scheme.

  • Improvement of journal indexing in reputable international databases.

  • Organization of academic capacity-building activities, such as scientific writing workshops for the remote sensing community.
