Author Guidelines
0 Manuscript Submission
Articles submitted to Jurnal Penginderaan Jauh Indonesia (JPJI) must meet the following requirements:
- Language: Indonesian
- Format: Follow the template format specified by JPJI
- Manuscript length: 5 to 8 pages
- Font: Times New Roman with font size following the template provisions (generally 10 pt)
Formatting Instructions:
- Paste the entire article content (including figures and tables) into the template file
- Use the "Keep Text Only" option to maintain format consistency
Article Structure:
- Title
- Author information including:
- Full name
- Institutional affiliation
- Complete address
- Corresponding email address
Example of affiliation writing:
- Department of Geomatics Engineering, ITS, Surabaya, Indonesia, 60111
- Center for Natural Resources Inventory Technology, LAPAN, Jakarta, Indonesia, 13710
1 Manuscript Preparation
Title
- Concise and informative
- Not exceeding 15 words
Author Name and Affiliation
- Written in a footnote at the bottom of the title page
Abstract
- Contains a summary of the paper including:
- Brief introduction
- Objectives
- Methods
- Main conclusions
- Not exceeding 200 words
Keywords
- 3 to 6 words
- Must be relevant to the subject
- Do not use subheadings
Materials and Methods
- Describe the experiment clearly and concisely
- Include sufficient detail for independent replication
Results
- Presented with optimal clarity
- Without unnecessary details
- May be presented in the form of figures or tables
- Note: Results should not be repeated in both formats (figures and tables)
Discussion
- Explain significant findings and other important aspects of the research
- Do not repeat materials and methodology
References
- Compiled using reference management software such as:
- Mendeley
- Zotero
- EndNote
- Citation style: IEEE
- In the text, citations are written with numbers in brackets, e.g.:
- [1]
- [2]–[5]
Example of reference entry:

Conclusion
- Concise
- Addresses the research objectives
Acknowledgments
- Lists individuals or institutions that have assisted in the research process
- Includes financial contributions
- Kept to a minimum (less than 40 words)
Abbreviations and Acronyms
- Uncommon abbreviations must be fully explained the first time they appear in the text
- New abbreviations should only be created for complex names
- Should not be used at all unless these names appear frequently
Latin Names and Species Families
- First mention: Latin/species family name and common name
- Subsequent mentions: common name only
Units System
- Use the Indonesian National Standard/SNI System of Units (kg, m, s, etc.) for all manuscripts
