Focus and Scope

Limits: Journal of Mathematics and Its Applications publishes original research articles and review articles across all fields of mathematics, particularly analysis, algebra, applied mathematics, mathematical modeling, systems and control, discrete mathematics, combinatorics, statistics, stochastic processes, optimization, and computational science.

Published three times a year by the Scientific Publication Center of the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology, this journal provides a fully online manuscript submission and review process. Since its first publication in 2004, Limits has been committed to developing mathematical research that is relevant both for the advancement of theory and practical applications.

This journal is intended for academics, researchers, and practitioners who wish to contribute and share innovative works that further drive the development of mathematical research and applications.

Submission Guidelines

Follow these steps to submit your manuscript

1 Overview and Scope of the Journal

Limits Journal (Journal of Mathematics and Its Applications) publishes original research papers in all fields of Mathematics, with a focus on areas such as Analysis, Algebra, Mathematical Modeling, Systems and Control, Discrete Mathematics, Statistics and Stochastic, Applied Mathematics, Optimization, and Computational Science. This journal accepts both research articles and literature reviews that encourage further research in these fields.

2 Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and written in English using the provided MS Word template. Papers must be 5 to 8 pages in length, formatted on A4 paper with specified margins, using Times New Roman font size 12pt, 1.5 spacing, and single column format. Manuscripts must include a title (maximum 12 words), author names (without academic titles), affiliation, email, abstract (150-250 words), keywords (3-5 words, sorted alphabetically), introduction, methods, results and discussion, conclusion, and references. Figures and tables must be numbered and centered, complete with captions.

3 Citations and References

All citations must be properly referenced using IEEE style. The bibliography must primarily come from primary sources (minimum 60% from journals) published within the last ten years. Use reference management software such as Mendeley or Zotero to ensure format consistency and accuracy.

4 Submission Process

Submit manuscripts online through the Open Journal System (OJS) portal. Authors must register, log in, and follow the five submission steps: Start, Upload Submission, Enter Metadata, Upload Supplementary Files, and Confirmation. Cover letters and supplementary documents may be included. Correspondence regarding revisions and final decisions will only be addressed to the corresponding author.

5 Peer Review and Ethics

Submitted manuscripts will undergo a rigorous peer review process and must be free of plagiarism. Papers that do not meet ethical standards or formatting guidelines will be rejected or returned before the review process. Publication fees and further details are available on the journal website.
